These two days of open sessions offer visitors a gently therapeutic experience; the chance to rest and find repose in a glade of mental healing. Filled with arboreal and artistic energies, this space allows our turbulent and troubled minds to be soothed by its layered landscape of natural elements, sounds and projection mapping. The environment is both communal and personal, and people are encouraged to interact with it in their own way; sitting, sleeping, writing, reading, or even just stopping by for a passing moment.

As well as offering immediate and sensory succour for people’s mental wellbeing, the space works to raise awareness of mental health more generally. It is never easy to tackle issues of mental health, to find the words and courage to discuss our problems, to seek help, and to find the support we often need. This glade is no panacea for those issues, but it aims to show that we are not alone, that solutions and support can be found, and that in its commune of contemplation, hopefully we may find a moment of calm within the storms that buffet both our external and internal realities.
