friend is the DJ project of Dominic Irla from Cape Town South Africa, now based in Hanoi Vietnam. His diverse taste and appreciation for electronic music stems across the board, pushing himself on a never-ending voyage of sonic discovery. His current love affair is a hot combination of groovy downtempo, tribal afro house and driving ethereal techno, allowing him to be versatile with his sets.

Sounds aside, friend also plays an active role in growing the electronic music scene as a promoter and graphic designer. Notably he’s the founder of Psymedia (South Africa) and more recently the co-creator of This is, a promoter for Liquid Hive as well as a resident DJ for We Groove in Vietnam.
